Accelerated surface oxidation: Failed gas distributor seals create turbulent shielding gas flow, inducing oxidized layers on cut edges and raising post-processing costs.
2. Equipment Stability Risks
Arc fluctuation and system overload: Worn eddy current ring assemblies disrupt magnetic field generation, triggering high-frequency arc oscillations that may cause cutting head misalignment or circuit board burnout.
Cooling system cascade failure: Severely degraded electrodes elevate plasma gas temperatures, impairing water cooling system efficiency and accelerating pump wear.
